Why did Centre Foundation open the Fund for Centre County, and what exactly is it?
A: The Fund for Centre County was created to give Centre Foundation the ability to respond to community needs in a flexible and lasting way. Gifts are invested; therefore, the fund grows over time. What makes it unique is that it’s not tied to one single cause or program. Instead, resources are directed wherever they’re needed most—today and in the future.
